Getting ready and getting there: what happened between being accepted and my arrival at the Bread Loaf Environmental Writing Conference.

When the acceptance email came to my inbox, I was in Mexico. The deposit to hold my spot at the conference needed to be a check sent by snail mail. My checkbook was at home in the States. So I called a friend (thank you, Sue : ), who mailed a check. Then I reimbursed her with Venmo. A very 2024-Meta set of transactions to begin my Bread Loaf experience!
